Why does the HT50 Ventilator make a vibration noise?
The dual micro-pistons that generate gas within the HT50 must move back and forth very quickly and therefore make a vibration under normal circumstances. They will vibrate more when generating higher flows since they will be moving faster. You may notice this during pressure support or pressure control -- or particularly when there is a leak or disconnect. There is no evidence that the vibration is harmful to the patient.
